Many pet owners know this: the dog or cat eats their meals too quickly. Gobbling food can have very nasty effects on your four-legged friend. This can cause stomach torsion in large dogs. This means that the stomach tilts and this can be fatal. The gobbling also causes dogs to overeat, with the risk of becoming overweight.

Eating at a normal pace is therefore many times healthier for the dog.

The special slow feeders are equipped with different bottoms that are reminiscent of a puzzle. The dog is then challenged to eat the food between the uneven bottom with grooves and will therefore have to make a real effort to get the food out of the bowl and will therefore eat much more calmly. Eating more slowly reduces the chances of being overweight, stomach torsions, etc., making these products highly recommended for the fast gobbling.
